Interview with a Fellow Simmer

We sat down with a fellow simmer who plays on FSX Gold. We asked him what he thought about the game.

Q: So how do you think X-Plane is as a flight simulator?
A: I think that it is a really good simulator to start with. It could use a lot more work with the graphics, atc, and the addons could be a lot better.

Q: How could the addons be better?
A: Well there are people like captainsim who create amazing planes for FSX. I mean they are just amazing. They look almost exactly like the real thing, and they even act like it too. The best X-Plane addon that they have is a 777-200LR which is alright but still needs a lot of work compared to the FSX features.

Q: What Graphics for X-Plane do you think should be fixed?
A: Well I think that they should add working terminal gates, moving traffic, and improve the cars and the roads because i have seen clumps of road that are right, left, backwards, and upside down.

Q: Do you think that X-Plane should be used in FAA certified flight simulators?
A: I think that once X-Plane has gotten all the kinks and twigs fixed and has improved all of the problems it should start to be considered for replacing FSX in the FAA simulators.

Q: Who do you think should play this simulator?
A: I think that only the people who have Macs and don't like FSX should play X-Plane.

Q: So which flight simulator is better?
A: ehehhe... obviously I think that FSX is better overall. I think that X-Plane has some great potential but I think that it needs to be improved a lot.

So there you have it guys, I hope that you enjoyed that little interview. Let me know what you think is better. Comment and let me know which one you think is better.

Austin Myer is getting sued!!!!!

Austin Myer, the creator of X-Plane, is getting sued for putting his application on the andriod store. According to Uniloc, Austin Myer has stolen their idea and they are suing Austin for millions of dollars. This company Uniloc is not a company at all that actually made anything. They are what is known as "patent trolls". Patent Trolls are companies that patent thousands ideas and don't actually make anything. They patent the idea and don't tell anyone so that people like Austin make applications, post them for different operating systems, and then sue them for every penny they own. Austin Myer is not giving up though, he is going to fight as much as he can to stop them from hurting him and anyone else.

Just how realistic is the B777 Worldliner to the real thing?

The Boeing 777 Worldliner is one of the most realistic planes offered for X-Plane 10. But the question is; How close is it to the real thing? Well the research shows that this plane has been created for X-Plane by people who have actually went to Boeing to check out the 777 and build the model based on that. The fact that these guys actually got it licensed from Boeing shows that there is realism to it. The features that are in the actual cockpit of this plane in X-Plane are very sophistocated, every single little nob, latch, and button have a function just like the real thing. And also to top it off ZRoman put a speech program where the cabin crew actually interact with what the flight attendents are saying. So to answer the question of whether this plane is as real to the real thing or not, well I believe that it is 99% realistic.

Is the X-Plane 10 update 10.22 really that good???

The new update 10.22 for x-plane is a great addon for those of you who like to keep up with the updates. In this update it includes some bug fixes, frame rate problems, and some graphical fixes. Unfortunetly I can hardly tell that the new update actually changed anything. Hopefully in the future they will release an update that will fix the frame-rate problem.
